Roots and Resilience – Creative Connection for Young Adults in Cornwall and Devon. The Pearl Exchange supports young adults aged 18–35 across rural Cornwall, where isolation, poor access to services, and declining mental health are major challenges. Our project, Roots & Resilience, aims to transform young people’s wellbeing through free creative workshops, skills-building opportunities, and trauma-informed counselling.

Bringing Inspirational Collective Worship to Stratton.
Stratton CoE Primary are very excited to be working with ISingPop to hold a transformational 4-day teaching, rehearsing and performing project to spark joy and bring the whole school and community together.  Pupils will learn a set of catchy, fun-filled pop songs and routines based on important and inclusive Christian values culminating in a professional live concert to pupil families and community groups in the incredible St John the Baptist Church in Cirencester.  We particularly hope that the project will inspire children who are harder to engage with and will connect with our pupils in an accessible and appealing way.

The Barnabus Music Therapy Sessions: At Barnabus we believe in having a holistic approach in helping people recover homelessness. It is incredibly important that our guests reconnect with creativity and can express themselves. Our music Therapy sessions allow our guest to do this. It gives them new skills as they learn instruments, it gives them opportunity to express themselves as they write songs, and it allows them to have fun singing and playing some of their favourite pieces of music. All this happens in the context of our Beacon Support centres work to help people off the streets and to leave homelessness behind for good.

Black Voices are extremely grateful to the Westhill Endowment for their support of our annual Doorstep Carnival event which, this year, was called Musical Garden. The carnival took place in our beautiful Community Garden at Grosvenor Road Studios on the afternoon of Saturday 31 August.

Local communities representing many faiths, and none came together to share and enjoy performances from local children, artists, and musicians, including the World Music Youth Choir, the Reggae Choir and the Bond Street Singers. We were also delighted to be joined by a CBSO quartet as part of the CBSO in the City programme.

Soulful Sunday Mental Health Project
1 in 4 people in Bath will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year. 1 in 6 experience a common mental health problem (like anxiety and depression) in any given week. We’re running our Soulful Sunday ‘mindfulness’ get-together events to help address Bath's growing mental health epidemic.

There are never enough services available that can truly address the district's mental health issues. Our monthly programmes provide support in a non-judgemental, ‘all-welcome’ setting.

Gospel 2023

With seven years of experience, our next Festival: GOSPEL April 2023 aims to celebrate ‘Christianity and Creativity’ in a mixed arts festival. An invitation for everyone to engage with the expressive arts whether of different faiths or none, to explore and discover more of life in many vibrant ways.

The theme of GOSPEL 2023 will spark curiosity with the Gospel story and introduce or reacquaint people with Gospel meaning, purpose and hope. We strive to eradicate misconceptions about the Christian faith to encourage unchurched people to engage with the Christian faith especially young people, the future of our faith and church.
