Map & Directions

The entrance to South Drive Westhill is marked ‘Westhill Lodge’ on a University of Birmingham sign. The Lodge is situated immediately on the left-hand side and there are marked parking spaces available outside the Lodge.

By Rail

From New Street station in central Birmingham, take a connection to Selly Oak station and then, either walk, or catch Bus No. 63 alighting close to Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre on the Bristol Road and Westhill is on the other side of the road.

By Road

From the South: Leave the M42 at Junction 2, taking the A441 northwards until the Redhill Road island when you should take the first exit to Longbridge. At Longbridge traffic lights, turn right onto Bristol Road South A38 and continue straight on around Northfield until you reach Westhill on your left-hand side as you approach Selly Oak.

From the North: Leave the M6 at Junction 6 (Spaghetti Junction), taking the A38M towards Birmingham City Centre. Continue on the A38 through the central Birmingham tunnels onto the Bristol Road South A38. Continue past the University main campuses (on your right). Continue past The Christian Life Centre (on your left) and when you reach the Woodbrooke Quaker Study centre immediately do a right-u-turn at the designated part of the central reservation. (If you miss this u-turn there’s another shortly afterwards.) Then head back up the hill and Westhill is now on your left-hand side. If you are looking at a map South Drive is the second left turning after Witherford Way. Westhill Lodge is signed here on the A38. You will see the Lodge immediately as you turn left. Please note that from January 2021 there are likely to be ‘Clean Air Zone’ charges for certain vehicles driving through/in the city centre.
