The Arthur Rank Centre
Rural Roadshow
Rural Mission and Ministry Roadshow: 9 June 2026,
10am – 2pm at Bakewell Methodist Church DE45 1EL
As part of The Arthur Rank Centre’s vision to enable and empower rural Christians of all denominations who work within the unique context of rural mission and ministry, we invite you to attend our first pilot “Rural Roadshow”. Join us as we celebrate all that is rural. Come along and share a day of learning, networking and encouragement … and leave with new friends and practical resources.
The Arthur Rank Centre is an ecumenical national charity, that resources, trains, and advocates for rural Christians, rural churches and the communities they serve. Our vision is of confident rural Christians, encouraged to engage in effective mission and ministry.
Since 1972, the Arthur Rank Centre has served both the spiritual and practical needs of the rural community through hundreds of resources for rural churches, including a comprehensive range of worship resources and rural stories, ideas and inspiration though our former magazine, Country Way and current digital newsletters.
We have two main streams of training courses, the first is our highly popular 2 day course the Rural Mission & Ministry Course that has been running for over 40 years.
Our second is an 18 month Germinate Leadership Programme that develops Christian leadership through engagement with leadership theory, theological reflection and practical leadership issues including conflict resolution, team building and group dynamics, collaboration between lay and ordained leaders, and the importance of deepening emotional intelligence.
With financial assistance from the Westhill Endowment we are taking The Arthur Rank Centre on the road. The Arthur Rank “Rural Roadshow” celebrates all that is rural and takes our training and support out to the countryside. Join us for a free day of networking and nourishing, both spiritually and physically. All are welcome.
