The Side by Side Outreach Project, delivered by Reach and Unite Outreach and Empowerment CIC, supports vulnerable young people aged 5–25 in deprived areas of Wolverhampton.
Using a trauma-informed approach, the project combines mentoring, counselling, and positive activity programmes to address emotional, social, and behavioural challenges. We support children wherever they are, providing flexible, consistent care across settings. The project focuses on reducing risk-taking behaviours, improving wellbeing, and building resilience through personalised support. Through strong partnerships and safe environments, young people gain confidence, develop skills, and make positive life choices, creating lasting change by addressing the root causes of adversity.
