The children who attend Mossbrook have a range of needs, particularly autism, communication and SEMH difficulties.

We are a believer in inclusion and believe our children deserve the same opportunities as other children. Their learning needs to be adaptable and engaging to their level.

The RE grant has had a significant impact on our school's ability to develop and enhance Easter and Christmas sensory resources. Funding has enabled us to purchase a range of high quality, multi sensory materials that brings key Christian stories and traditions to life for our pupils.

Through tactile objects, sensory storytelling resources, music, lights, scents and interactive displays, learners are able to engage with the meaning of Easter and Christmas in ways that are accessible and memorable.

These resources have enriched classroom experiences and supported a more inclusive approach to Religious Education. 

As a result, pupils have developed a deeper knowledge and understanding of the significance of Easter and Christmas within the Christian faith. The sensory resources have helped learners make meaningful connections with important events such as the birth of Jesus, the Last Supper, the crucifixion, and the resurrection.

By experiencing these concepts through multiple senses, pupils have demonstrated increased engagement, improved recall of key information, and greater confidence when discussing religious beliefs and celebrations.

The grant has therefore played a valuable role in strengthening religious literacy and promoting meaningful learning opportunities for all.
