Safe Steps Nottingham:
Youth Intervention

Safe Steps Nottingham is about supporting young people in areas where crime is high and helping them stay safe and make better choices. Based at Faith Oasis Church, the project creates a space where young people can feel welcome, build relationships, and take part in positive activities that encourage confidence, wellbeing, and a sense of direction.
 
Safe Steps Nottingham: Youth Intervention is a local project led by Faith Oasis Nottingham, working with young people growing up in some of the city’s more challenging areas. Many of the young people we see are facing pressure from their environment, including exposure to crime and a lack of positive opportunities.
 
We aim to offer a safe and supportive space where young people can come together, feel accepted, and build trust. Through our youth sessions, mentoring, and regular activities, we support them in making safer and more positive choices. A big part of the work is simply being present, listening, and building relationships over time.
 
We are already engaging young people through our Sunday youth programmes, where we provide a consistent space for them to connect and grow. Safe Steps will allow us to build on this and reach more young people who need support.
