Dear God...
“The ocean is like God and raindrops are the religion. When they fall into the ocean they become one.”

The Council of Christians and Jews
University Interfaith Programme

The Council of Christians and Jews is the leading nationwide forum for Christian- Jewish engagement. Operating nationally since 1942 the charity promotes education, dialogue and social action with people of different faiths working primarily, but not exclusively, with Christians and Jews.

We are extending our work to universities where students often meet people from outside their communities for the first time. With students facing disturbing rises in religious intolerance it has never been so important to empower students to promote interfaith engagement at universities.

Our project appoints Student Leaders from universities around the country who will work together to create interfaith events. We believe having student led events is crucial in meeting the needs of students and developing our participants’ leadership skills.

At the end of their year as Student Leaders our participants will join an alumni network of interfaith activists from around the country, equipped with the skills to become future leaders in their communities.
