Dear God...
“Hardly anyone can ever find God because God is right at the end of your mind after all the background thoughts are gone.”

St Mary's Parish Church Hinckley
Community Garden Project

We are a community based project managed by St. Mary’s Church open to all faiths and none.  Our building is a tourist and historical venue, as well as an active faith community.

We are seeking to transform our churchyard into a garden to be a place of wellbeing and being in touch with nature and creation for all those involved in both managing the garden and those who come to sit or to meet with friends.

St Mary’s Church have had an open church with a cafe for over 20 years and we want our inside to be reflected on our outside.  We are landscaping the churchyard to include flowers, plants, a labyrinth, seating areas, art/sculpture, prayer tree, bug hotels, story telling space.

The garden will be cared for by individual volunteers and community groups i.e. local schools; adult learning disability organisations; local dementia group and other local community groups who are working in partnership with us.
