Emmanuel Christian School School of Drama
We measure the value of education not simply by levels of achievement but through the creative contribution children are equipped to make to society with a distinctive and perceptive Christian voice. Because of this, the creative arts play a significant part in our school life, expressing all that we have been learning together. |
From 2019 our desire is to expand and grow the scope of the Drama Club to become the Emmanuel School of Drama. We will take part in the Oxford Playhouse Primary Playmaker scheme, enabling children to express powerful truths in a compelling way on stage. Building on this connection with the local community, we will launch a platform for families across Oxford to join the Emmanuel School of Drama, a space where children can explore ideas of truth, beauty and goodness with honesty and courage. In this way we hope to use Drama as a powerful means to express the fullness and freedom of life which the Christian faith offers, the curiosity and creativity which it invites and in so doing make a positive contribution to the life of the city.
